Man Arrested On Statutory Rape Charge In Morganton

A man is scheduled for a court appearance today after being arrested and charged with statutory rape in Burke County.

34-year-old Edras Abisbi Barrios De Leon was taken into custody on Tuesday evening. He is charged with felony first-degree statutory rape. The suspect is being held under a $250,000 secured bond in the Morganton Jail.
