Lenoir Woman Charged After Overdose Death

33-year-old Brittany Morgan Foust of Lenoir was arrested by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony death by distribution.

On Wednesday, April 30 Deputies responded to a suspected overdose death in the Oak Hill Community. After an investigation, Brittany Morgan Foust was identified as the individual who distributed the drugs that led to the victim’s death.

According to the Sheriff’s Office the charge carries serious penalties for individuals who unlawfully distribute controlled substances that directly result in the death of another. Foust was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $1 million secured bond.

The investigation remains ongoing. Additional charges may be filed.
