A 17-year old was arrested by Taylorsville Police on Friday after leading Police on a chase.
A complaint had been filed with Taylorsville Police by a victim who’s vehicle was struck in the Bojangles parking lot on Highway 16. The driver of the suspect vehicle left the scene. Some 10 minutes later, Taylorsville Police Chief Douglas Bowman spotted the suspect vehicle which had returned to the Bojangles. He activated his blue light and siren but the driver of the suspect vehicle fled south on Highway 16 then turned onto Industrial Blvd and traveled at a high rate of speed through both parking lots at the CVCC Alexander Campus.
The suspect, identified only as a 17-year old female stopped and was taken into custody. She was charged with flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, careless and reckless driving, and no operators license. The juvenile was remanded to the custody of her parents and the vehicle that was borrowed was returned to the owner.
