Statesville – On Saturday, October 3rd at approximately 7:13 a.m., The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a fatal collision on Winthrow Creek Road near Triplett Road, in Iredell County. A 2013 Kawasaki Z1000 was traveling East on Winthrow Creek Road, traveled off the roadway to the right, overturned and then collided with a slight embankment/ditch.
The driver of the Kawasaki, Timothy Wayne Pack, 44, of Cleveland, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision.
The initial investigation does not suspect impairment as a contributing circumstance.
