Motorcycle Operator Killed In Iredell County Crash

Statesville – On Friday, October 2nd at approximately 8:24 p.m., The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a fatal collision at the intersection of Red Cedar Lane and Sullivan Farm Road, in Iredell County. A 2009 Hyundai passenger car was attempting to turn left from Red Cedar Lane onto Sullivan Farm Road. As the Hyundai made the left turn, it collided with a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling East on Sullivan Farm Road.

The driver of the Hyundai, Addison Oxendine, 18, of Statesville, was not injured.

The driver of the Harley Davidson, Curtis Warren, 25, of Cornelius, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision.

This collision remains under investigation, once the investigation is complete, the findings will be presented to the Iredell County District Attorney’s Office for review.
