A Conover residence that has been the scene of three homicides in the last year went up in flames Wednesday evening.
Around 11pm Wednesday, Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious fire at 5468 White Tail Circle in Conover. The Catawba County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are conducting a joint investigation to determine the cause and origin of the fire and to determine if it was intentionally set. The mobile home was destroyed.
Two people were killed at the residence in 2019 and another last month. Arrests have been made in both cases.
