Hickory Man Nabbed After Hiddenite Break In

A Hickory man has been charged in connection to a recent break in investigation in Alexander County.

Alexander Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 20-year old Redrum Erik Gigee on Wednesday and charged him with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. The arrest follows a reported breaking and entering at a Hiddenite residence on January 24th. A suspect vehicle was captured on surveillance video.

The video showed a red passenger car. Detectives used the images to identify Gigee as the suspect.

Gigee has been released on a secured bond of $20,000 and is scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court on Monday, February 8th.
