According to a press release from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, multiple racial slurs spray-painted on a church vehicle and other properties nearby led to an investigation that resulted in charges against two juveniles and an adult.
During the investigation, Detectives connected the suspects to a nearby home that was still under construction, where property had been stolen and an attempt had been made to set the structure on fire.
The investigation resulted in two juveniles being charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor offenses through the Department of Juvenile Justice. The investigation also led to the arrest of Amber Lee Christley, 48, of Statesville. She was charged with felony Burning of Building or Structure in Process of Construction, Felony Conspiracy and two counts of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of juvenile.
