Hickory Man Charged With Attempting To Burn Building

Newton Police have charged a man with attempting to burn a building.

44-year old Randy Lewis Watts of Hickory was arrested by Newton Officers Tuesday evening and charged with burning a building under construction and two counts of resisting a public officer. As of earlier today, Watts remains in the Catawba County Detention Center with a bond of $9,000.
