Hickory Man Charged With Assault In Alexander County

Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the Bethlehem Community on Sunday in reference to an altercation taking place.

41-year old Austin Rusty Setzer of Hickory was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Setzer was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a bond of $50,000. He remains is custody as of earlier today.

A Monday court appearance was scheduled.
