Former Commissioner Tim Glass Passes

Former Alexander County Commissioner Timothy Allan Glass has died. Glass passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 27. He was 76.

Glass served on the Board of Commissioners from 1986-1998. He also served on the Alexander County Board of Education and was a deacon at the Taylorsville First Baptist Church.

Glass was a poultry farmer and served as President of the North Carolina Poultry Federation.

He will lie in state at Alexander Funeral Service, Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The graveside service is scheduled for Friday at 11am in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.
