Former Alexander County Clerk Of Court Joins Lawfirm

Retired Alexander County Clerk of Court Danny Dyson has joined the local law firm of Harbinson & Brzykcy as a legal assistant to Attorney Caryn Brzykcy in the area of estate administration.

“I am very honored and pleased to have Danny joining me in bringing assistance to the residents of Alexander and surrounding counties in estate administration,” Brzykcy said. “Danny has 13 years of experience as a Probate Judge, and over 20 years experience in estate administration with the Alexander County Clerk of Court. The two of us will provide our clients with professional, quality, and efficient estate administration, and strive to ease the stress on our clients at a difficult time in their lives.’”

Danny Dyson is a life-long resident of Alexander County, North Carolina. He graduated from Alexander Central High School in 1983 where he played varsity baseball. In 1986, Danny received an Associates Degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Catawba Valley Community College. Danny was employed at the Alexander County Clerk of Superior Court’s office for 36 years, 20 of which were in the Probate Division. Danny was the Probate Judge for the last 13 years, with vast experience in estate probate and administration, guardianships and various special proceedings, including Petitions to Partition real property and incompetency proceedings. Danny retired as Clerk of Court in April of this year.

Danny has been active in the Alexander County community as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life chairman, Bethlehem CROP Walk committee, YMCA Management Council Board chairman, Alexander County Recreation Advisory Board chairman, Caring Hearts Pregnancy Cener Events Committee member, and ACHS and East Alexander Middle School assistant softball coach.

Danny is also active in his church, East Taylorsville Baptist Church, having served as a Youth Sunday School teacher for 25 years, and as a Deacon.

Danny is married to Kendra Warren Dyson, and they have 2 children, Derek and Kaylin.

Caryn Brzykcy is the Managing Partner of Harbinson & Brzykcy, having practiced in Alexander County for the last 27 years with the firm, specializing in the areas of wills and estate administration as well as Social Security disability.

Harbinson & Brzykcy, Attorneys at Law, is located at 70 East Main Avenue in Taylorsville.
