A Yadkin County man was killed in a crash in Wilkes County Sunday afternoon.
53-year old Jeffrey Eugene Helton of Hamptonville was operating a motorcycle southbound on N.C. 18 North when he crashed south of the Wilkes-Alleghany county line. The North Carolina Highway Patrol says Helton was ejected from his bike, hit the guardrail, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
