A Moravian Falls man killed Saturday afternoon after a wreck on Country Club Road near Wilkesboro.
20-year old Trevelle Burgess was the operator of a motorcycle that collided with a pickup truck. The Highway Patrol reports that Burgess was traveling at a high rate of speed and wasn’t able to stop in time to avoid the collision. The motorcycle skidded over 130 feet, overturned and slid another 35 feet before colliding with the pickup. Burgess was ejected from the bike before it hit the truck and caught fire. Burgess was transported to Wilkes Medical Center where he died from his injuries. The truck driver was not injured in the wreck.
