The Cougars opened their season at home with a win against Davie County.
Ac took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and led 3-0 after two.
Davie County scored single runs in the fourth and fifth innings and tied the game in the top of inning seven. Alexander Central won the game with a run scoring hit by Bubba Pope in the home half of the seventh inning.
The Cougars out-hit the War Eagles 9-6.
