Jimmy Lee Randolph, 75, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and possession of marijuana up to one half ounce, according to court documents.
Conover Police say three people ( a couple, along with the 3-year-old) were all hospitalized after being attacked with a knife at a location on County Home Road shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday. The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the assault.
Randolph was released from prison in March. He was convicted of first-degree murder in Washington County in 1990. He was given a life sentence. After serving nearly 33 years in prison, Randolph was released on parole on March 14, according to N.C. Department of Adult Corrections.
