Claremont Woman Arrested In Alexander County

The sister of a Claremont man that was arrested Monday morning in Alexander County is now facing charges as well.

47-year old Katrina Sartin Guernsey was taken into custody Monday evening by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. She is charged with a warrant from Newton Police for tampering with vehicle parts. Early Monday morning, her brother 46-year old Mikel Wayne Sartin was arrested by Sheriff’s Deputies and charged with felony larceny and resisting arrest. He was also charged with outstanding warrants from Catawba County that include felony larceny of motor vehicle parts.

Guernsey was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $3,000.
