Brzykcy Gets His First Save at AAA

Alexander Central Alum Zach Brzykcy earned his first AAA save on Saturday as Rochester beat Buffalo.

Brzykcy, in his first save opportunity at the AAA level, went an inning allowing 0 runs on 0 hits and 1 strike out.

Rochester beat Buffalo 7-4 in the Saturday afternoon game in Buffalo.

Brzykcy has pitched at 3 levels this season in the Washington Nationals organization.

He began the year at High A Wilmington, Delaware where he went 6-1 with 4 saves and an earned run average of 1.66. He was promoted to AA Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and shined with a record of 2-1, 9 for 9 in saves and a 1.89 era.

Brzykcy was promoted to Rochester and has appeared in two games allowing no runs.
