Alexander County Deputies Arrest Mocksville Man After Tussle

Matthew Cole Chapman, age 34 of Mocksville, was arrested on Saturday, September 2nd by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies. Chapman was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of schedule II controlled substance, assault on a government official and resisting resisting arrest. Chapman is being held in the Alexander County Detention under a secured bond of $127,000. A September 18th court date is scheduled in Taylorsville.

Previous charges still pending in Davie County include two counts of felony probation violation and driving while license revoked. Chapman’s next court appearance in Davie County set for September 28th.
