The Varsity Cougars came home with a 3-1 win over the Greyhounds with scores of 25-14, 25-23, 16-25 and 25-21. The Cougar offense was led by Ashlyn Merritt with 7 solid attack kills along with Allie Patton and Madalyn Motley contributing a combined number of 38 assists. Jenna Hensley added a strong serving game with a total 15 serves. Sarah Hollar put up a strong defense for the Cougars on the front row with a total of 5 solid blocks. Ashlyn Merritt and Bella Pritchard contributed to a combined total of 18 digs for the Cougar defense.
Alexander Central Men’s Soccer will open their season today at St Stephens.
