Hibriten nipped Alexander Central Thursday night in Lenoir 21-20.
The Baby Cougars led 14-7 at the half on a pair of touchdown runs by Jermiah Payne from 1 and 3 yards.
Hibriten scored twice in the second half and led 21-14 early in the 4th quarter. AC got a 4 yard run for score from Jayon Connor with 7:30 remaining in the game but the conversion failed leaving the final score at 21-20.
Alexander Central out gained the Panthers 241-191. Jayon Connor led ACHS in tackles with 8.
