Alexander County Classified As High Risk For COVID-19

July 26, 2022 By Richard C. Gilbert

Alexander County is now in the high risk category for COVID-19.

In the most recent report from the Alexander County Health Department and the State Department of Health and Human Services, 112 cases were reported in a seven- day period. That’s an increase from 68 during the previous seven-day report.

Almost half of the state’s 100 counties are now classified as high risk including neighboring Caldwell and Catawba Counties.

Alexander County now has two outbreaks reported at congregate living facilities.

A new update is expected on Wednesday.
