Second Victim Dies After Wilkes Shooting Incident

A second person has died as the result of a shooting incident that occurred in the early morning hours last Sunday, July 17th in Wilkes County.

59-year old Ricky Anderson died on Sunday. Sandra K. Shew, 60, of Wilkesboro was found dead at the scene on on Hunting Creek Road according to the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.

A third person, a woman, who was also shot at the scene.

Stacy Elizabeth Miller, 33, of Brushy Mountain Road, Wilkesboro, was charged with one count of murder, and aid and abet driving while license revoked, Summers stated.  Also arrested was James Louis Robinson, 54, of Rock Creek Road, Hays. Robinson has been charged with one count of accessory after the fact of murder, aid and abet, and driving while license revoked.

Miller and Robinson were detained by Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro police officers after a 100-mph-plus chase on U.S. 421.

Both suspects remain in the Wilkes County Detention Center. Miller is being held under a $750,000 bond and Robinson is jailed without bond.
