The United States Geological Survey reported a 2.8-magnitude earthquake outside of Sparta Saturday night.
The earthquake happened at 11:08 p.m. The epicenter of the earthquake is 1.86 miles east/northeast of Sparta and 0.86 miles under the ground, according to USGS.
As of 6 p.m. Sunday, more than 350 people reported feeling the earthquake in West Virginia, on the Tennessee border and in Georgia.
