Woman Arrested Wednesday Morning At Business In Bethlehem

An Alexander County woman was arrested in the pre-dawn hours Wednesday at a location in Bethlehem.

42-year old Paula Renee Martin of Taylorsville was taken into custody by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies at a business on Highway 127 just before 6am. She has been charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny, possession of burglary tools and tampering with a vehicle. She has been placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secure bond of $10,000.

A male subject was present and was able to flee the scene on foot. No suspect description has been given. The investigation is ongoing.
