41-year-old Elias Guadarrama of 1st Avenue NW in Hickory was arrested Tuesday, October 13th by Newton Police Officers. He’s charged with two counts apiece of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office also placed an ICE Detainer on Guadarrama. Following the arrest, Guadarrama was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility. He had a Wednesday (October 14) District Court date scheduled. A Superior Court appearance is scheduled for November 2.
