The Wittenburg Swim Beach will be closed August 22-24 as water test results show that bacteria levels remain above those considered safe under Duke Energy’s water quality guidelines. Additional water samples will be collected and tested on Monday. August 24. The swim beach will reopen as soon as bacteria levels return to a safe range.
