Alexander County Adds Motor Vehicle Accident Information To DriveNC

October 15, 2026 By Richard C. Gilbert

Alexander County is only the second county in North Carolina to integrate its Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system with DriveNC, the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s traveler information system! This new connection allows our E-911 CAD system to automatically send information about motor vehicle accidents and road closures to DriveNC, helping motorists stay informed about traffic conditions.

We’re proud to be among the first counties in the state to implement this technology to serve our residents and the traveling public better!

Check traffic conditions and road closures at www.DriveNC.gov.
