Wilmington Man Arrested By Alexander County Sheriff’s Office

A Wilmington, NC man is facing a series of charges after he was arrested over the weekend in Alexander County.

County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a Hiddenite location in after they received report of a breaking and entering at a residence. A number of items had been stolen. The investigation led to the arrest of 23-year old Jarbas Harrison Dealmeida. He has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of burglary tools. Outstanding charges from New Hanover County include felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, felony obtaining property by false pretense, felony attempting to breaking and entering a building, and injury to personal property. Dealmeida is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with secured bond of $70,000. The bond in New Hanover County is an additional $75,000. An Alexander County Court date is set for May 10th.
