Williamson Named Assistant Director Of Athletics At Alexander Central High School

The Alexander Central High School Athletic Department is pleased to announce that Josh Williamson has been named as Assistant Athletic Director with duties beginning immediately.

Williamson has been employed by Alexander County Schools for 20 years as a Science Teacher at ACHS. During his 20 years, he has served as Head Wrestling Coach for 18 years and has also served as an assistant baseball coach for a total of 10 years. In addition to his new role Williamson will continue to serve Wrestling Head Coach.

After adding his new role, Williamson commented by saying “I want to thank Mr. Lail (ACHS Principal) and Coach Robinson (ACHS Athletic Director) for this opportunity. I feel honored to be given the chance to be a leader in the Athletic Department. I hope that my experience at ACHS will lead me in this new position in supporting our coaches and student-athletes.”
