Caleb Williams pitched a no hitter in a game called after five innings with Alexander Central leading Hibriten 12-1.
Williams held the visitors from Lenoir without a hit although he allowed a run to score. He struck out 9 and walked two.
Mason Chapman Mays homered and drove in a pair of runs. Caleb Wiliams had two rbi, Jaret Hoppes scored three times and had a run batted in. Dusty Sigmon scored twice and had a hit.
The Cougars are 12-1 and 3-1 in Northwestern Conference play and will travel to Morganton on Monday to face Freedom.. The Panthers drop to 8-5 and 2-2.
