Wilkes County Teen Facing Thirty Charges Associated With Child Pornography

A Wilkes County teen has been arrested and is facing 30 charges of sexual exploitation involving children.

18-year old Thomas Edward Nine of Hays was charged with 15 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 15 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor by the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators received an alert from National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task force regarding an upload of child pornography to a Google account associated with Nine.

Nine remains in the Wilkes County Jail under a $400,000 secure bond. A court date is scheduled for February 13th.
