Wilkes County Man Dies Of Gunshot Wound

A man who was shot and critically injured in Wilkes County on September, 29th has died.

Levern Depree Johnson, 32, of North Wilkesboro, was pronounced dead at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center on Tuesday, October 10th. He had been listed in critical condition since the shooting.

North Wilkesboro Police are investigating. Johnson was found outside a home on L Street, in North Wilkesboro.

No suspect has been charged and no other information has been released by North Wilkesboro Police.
