Thud ! The perfect season ended on Friday for the Alexander Central Baseball team. The Cougars were shutout 6-0 in Boone by Watauga.
The Pioneers plated a pair of runs in the opening inning and added another three in the second. Caleb Williams allowed all 6 runs (4 earned) in 5 innings to take the loss. The Cougars were held to only 1 hit and fal1 to 1-1 in conference play and 9-1 overall. Watauga is 2-0 and 7-2,
