Troutman Man Killed In Winston-Salem Crash

An Iredell County man is dead after his truck hit a tree in Winston-Salem.

The crash happened on Thursday around 11:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of South Main Street, near Avondale Street.

According to Winston Salem Police, a Toyota Tundra, operated by Edward Stokes, 38, of Troutman, was traveling southbound on South Main Street when he ran off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Stokes was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing
