Two Shot At Caldwell Convenience Store

Two people were shot at a Caldwell County convenience store this afternoon.

Authorities responded shortly before 1 p.m. to the Market Basket on Highway 321-A in Sawmills. Officials said two people were taken to an area hospital and one was in critical condition as the result of the gunfire.

There is no word on what may have led to the shooting and no names have been released.
