The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office has released the following information
On Saturday November 2nd, at around 6:30 am the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Taylorsville Police Department, Lenoir Police Department, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, Watauga County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation made several drug arrests at 1846 Daniels Ridge Rd in Taylorsville. This the result of a lengthy investigation where methamphetamine was being trafficked from out of state into the area. Officers seized over a half pound of methamphetamine.
Gregory Scott Wall, age 63 of Taylorsville, was charged with one count of trafficking methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine, one count possession of controlled substance, and one count of maintain a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance. Wall was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $75,000 dollar secured bond with a first court appearance schedule for Monday,November 4th.After his Monday court appearance, Wall was issued a secured bond of $75,000.
Mark Anthony Hays, age 41 of Taylorsville, was charged with one count of trafficking methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine, one count of possession of controlled substance, one count of maintain a vehicle, dwelling or place to sell controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hays was placed without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center with a first court appearance on Monday, November 4th. Jennifer Rose Martin, age 26 of Taylorsville, was charged with one count possession of methamphetamine, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of failure of to appear ,one out of Surry County and the other out of Guilford County. Martin was placed under a No Bond for the Drug charges with a first court appearance on November 4.After her court appearance this morning, Martin was issued a secured bond of $25,000.
