Taylorsville Woman Facing Charges Dating To 2017 And 2022

33-year old Brittany Shook Blackwelder of Taylorsville was placed in Alexander County custody on Wednesday. She was served an arrest warrant for failure to appear related to 2022 charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of schedule II controlled substance. Blackwelder is being held in the county jail under a secured bond of $30,000.

A felony charge dating to 2017 is pending against Blackwelder in Iredell County for felony child abuse by sexual act. That case is set for trial on December 16th in Statesville.
