A Taylorsville woman charged with murder was scheduled to make a court appearance today in Catawba County. It won’t happen !
Tangela Louise Parker’s hearing has been postponed due to medical reasons according to her attorney. The Hickory Daily Record’s website reported the postponement on Thursday. Her attorney, Victoria Jayne said earlier this week the case could be resolved during the hearing.If a plea agreement has been reached, the Catawba County District Attorney’s Office has not commented.
Parker, age 50, is charged with felony murder in the shooting death of 51-year-old Michelle Marlow. Marlow was shot twice at the TCS Designs Furniture in Hickory on January 13, 2021. She died that day.
Parker’s husband, 63-year old Eric Parker, is charged with felony accessory after the fact in the case, according to court documents.The Parkers were on the lam for six months before being apprehended in Phoenix, Arizona by Federal Agents.
A new date for the court proceeding has not been set.
