Taylorsville Woman Charged With Arson

An Alexander County woman has been charged with arson. 41-year old April Dawn Atwood of Taylorsville was arrested on Christmas Eve by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office and charged with felony first-degree arson and misdemeanor damage to personal property. The charges stem from a reported fire at a residence in the Mountain View Community.

Atwood has been released on a secured bond of $15,000 and has a court appearance scheduled for January 4th in Catawba County District Court.
