Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic related incident and arrested Groover. He was charged with assault on a female, assault by pointing a gun, vandalism with damage to real property and resisting arrest. Groover was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center and held there over the weekend without bond. A first court appearance was scheduled for Monday.
A series of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle charges are scheduled for court in Alexander County on July 17th. Groover has a pending charge of vandalism with damage to real property pending in Catawba County along with a felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serous injury awaiting trial in Mecklenburg County.
