On June Sunday, 28, at approximately 9:45 p.m., an officer with the Taylorsville Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle after observing it nearly collide with another vehicle.
The officer activated the patrol vehicle’s emergency lights and siren however, the driver continued traveling down the roadway before making a U-turn and attempting to drive in the opposite direction. A second responding officer was able to position their patrol vehicle to prevent the suspect from leaving the area.
The driver refused multiple lawful commands to exit the vehicle, resulting in a physical struggle with officers. During the incident, a TASER was deployed to safely take the suspect into custody.

Baity was issued a $30,000 secured bond.
