A Taylorsville man is in custody after leading Taylorsville Police on a brief chase around 9:30 on Tuesday evening.
Taylorsville Officers observed a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Linneys Mountain Road. The motorcycle proceeded onto Main Avenue Drive running a red light at South Center at 60 miles per hour. The bike turned onto Highway 16 South and crashed near the Taylorsville Post Office. The operator of the bike was not seriously injured as the result of the crash.
Officers arrested 44-year old Keith Thomas Holland and charged him with felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, reckless driving to endanger, speeding, driving while impaired, and possession of marijuana. Holland was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $25,000.Photo: Taylorsville Police
