Taylorsville Police Make Drug Arrests After Traffic Stop

A Stony Point couple are facing charges after a traffic stop on Wednesday evening by Taylorsville Police.

Charles Lee Williams, age 44 was charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of schedule III controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office served Williams with a warrant for felony larceny of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon and larceny. Those charges are related to a break-in during the month of September.

Williams is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $70,000. A Monday court appearance is scheduled.

Lisa Mae Cape, age 34 is charged with felony possession of schedule II and schedule III controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon. Cape is being held in custody with a secured bond set at $40,000.. She is also scheduled for a Monday appearance in court.
