Taylorsville Man Jailed This Morning

Christopher Wayne Jarvis, age 30 of Taylorsville is in custody after being arrested early Tuesday morning. He was charged by the Alexander County Sherif’s Office with probation violation. Jarvis was arrested in September for assault on a female and simple assault. The suspect is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a bond set at $5,000.

He has charges awaiting trial in Alexander County that include felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.

In iredell County, Jarvis awaits trial for felony intentional child abuse with serious bodily injury, felony hit and run resulting in serious bodily injury, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of schedule VI controlled substance, probation violation and multiple traffic related offenses.
