Taylorsville Man Jailed For Missing Alexander And Catawba County Court Appearances

Dexton Markez Banner, 28 of Taylorsville, was taken into custody on Saturday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and served warrants for missing court dates. He was charged with failure to appear for assault with a deadly weapon and probation violation in Alexander County. Banner was also cited for failing to appear in Catawba County for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, shoplifting and driving with license revoked. The suspect is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $18,000. He was scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court on Monday.
