Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious person Monday evening at a location off Highway 127 in the Ellendale Community. Nicholas Andrew Heaton, age 29, was arrested and charged with impeding traffic and resisting arrest. The suspect was in the roadway and refused to comply with Deputies. After a prolonged struggle with Officers, Heaton was placed in the Alexander County Jail under a bond set at $5,000.
