Taylorsville Man Facing Charges From Three Law Enforcement Agencies…Updated

A Taylorsville man is being held in custody on a series of charges from the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, Taylorsville Police and the North Carolina Highway Patrol. 26-year old Malcolm Malik Stewart was arrested on Friday. He is scheduled to make a court appearance Monday for felony assault with injury on a Alexander County Detention Officer.

Stewart also faces charges of assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting a public officer, felony and misdemeanor probation violations and felony possession of schedule II controlled substance. Those charges are scheduled for court on March 14th and 21st.

A bond of $12,000 dollars is listed.
