Brandon Lee Goins
On May 26th, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office charged 31-year-old Brandon Lee Goins of Devil Track RD., Taylorsville, with felony statutory rape of a child age 15 or younger, felony first-degree statutory sex-offense and indecent liberties with a child.
As previously reported, Goins was arrested by Taylorsville Police on May 11th and charged with felony assault by pointing a gun, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and felony larceny of a motor vehicle.
Goins has an extensive criminal history. He was given a suspended sentence on October 6th, 2025 in Alexander County for possession of a firearm by a felon. In 2023, Goins was convicted for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, injury to real property and larceny. He was given a suspended sentence for those convictions as well.
