Taylorsville Man Arrested On Felony Drug Charge

On Friday, September 1st, Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 30-year old Alex Lee Hampton of Taylorsville. He was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and probation violation. Hampton was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $30,000 with a court appearance scheduled for today in Alexander County District Court.

Hampton has a previous charge pending for possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. In Iredell County, Hampton is awaiting trial for driving with license revoked and speeding.
